A source-backed review of Spark wallets: who uses Spark, what the wallet software exposes, and whether an ordinary user can complete a unilateral exit when operators refuse or disappear.
What is a Spark wallet?
A Spark wallet is a wallet interface using Spark’s statechain and hosted Lightning-service paths. The wallet may preserve user signing authority while still depending on current wallet state, external fee funds, software execution and service-provider cooperation for ordinary operation and recovery.
Which wallets use Spark?
Our current review covers 12 named consumer-wallet products and wallet surfaces. The directory records the evidence boundary for each one; source-reviewed products, published APK surfaces and documentation-only products are not treated as equivalent.
Can a Spark wallet perform unilateral exit?
The protocol and SDK expose unilateral-exit mechanisms and recovery primitives. The consumer question is narrower: does the released wallet preserve current exit state, fund and construct the transactions, broadcast them in order, monitor timelocks and finish recovery without the operators? The reviewed products did not expose that complete in-app workflow.
Featured wallet: Cake Wallet
Cake Wallet’s reviewed v6.4.4 source pins Breez Flutter 0.23.0. The inspected Lightning adapter supports ordinary Spark operations, but the review found no current exit-state export or complete operatorless recovery workflow in the shipped integration. This is a versioned source result, not a claim about every future Cake release.
